Watching videos of our last trip, I began to be interested (seriously) in the history of the monuments. Of course I did it before going but now it's different. Now I know more details and back in Costa Rica, I wanted to know more information about these details.
Reading more slowly, I have even found errors on the web about the information available about the US monuments. An example was when I began to compare the information offered by Wikipedia, in Spanish and English. In the Spanish version, at the end of the article on the Lincoln Memorial, reference is made to a new monument to be built in 2009 in his honor at Louisville Waterfrom Park, Kentucky. Apparently this article takes more than 10 years without receiving an update. Fortunately, it is possible to find photographs of the new monument.
Then I will have time to write about this and other monuments that I have visited in my life.
